Your care agency is recognized for fulfilling our requirements with our Shield Accreditation materials and then promoted through our letter writing campaign and a presence on our website. Your accreditation also comes with an instructional 3 DVD series The Educated Caregiver - Coping Skills, Hands-On Skills & Essential Knowledge.

Our mission revolves around agencies, but those that most benefit from our services are seniors. We encourage businesses to put their employees through a background check which includes criminal record, department of motor vehicles, and a social security number check for residence confirmation. Drug and TB testing as well as fingerprinting are also practices of proactive and professional agencies. While our accreditation does not require these measures, they should be considered for top quality employees. The senior home care services industry needs the standard we have set. That is why we provide several resources to encourage agencies to be a part of Shield Accreditation.
